Consultation

During your consultation, you and the surgeon will discuss your symptoms, medical history, and treatment options. Together you will decide on the best course of action.

Decision-Making

  • If surgery is not recommended, we ask for a $200 flat fee for you consultation. We will continue to follow up to ensure satisfactory improvement or resolution of symptoms.

  • If surgery is recommended, we will proceed to the next steps.

How does Veritas Surgery work with Samaritan Ministries?

Veritas Surgery is proud to be featured on Samaritan Ministries' Healthcare Bluebook Fair Price Award page. In many cases, your Individual Unshareable Amount (IUA) may be waived because you chose Veritas Surgery for your care, and Samaritan Ministries is pleased to pass these cost savings on to you as a responsible, cost-conscious member.

  1. Consultation & Quote

Reach out to Veritas directly to schedule your initial consultation. Your surgeon will review your condition and options and provide a transparent, bundled quote. This all-in-one price can be submitted to Samaritan for pre-approval (optional, but helpful).

  2. Payment to Veritas

In most cases, Veritas asks for 50% of your surgery price up front with the remaining 50% due within 10 days of surgery.

  3. Submitting Your Need

After your surgery, Veritas will provide you with:

    • a snapshot of the Samaritan Ministries Healthcare Bluebook for your surgery

    • an itemized bill that meets all of Samaritan Ministries' requirements for submitting a need

    • a letter from Veritas highlighting the cost savings to Samaritan Ministries' health plan

These documents will make it simple to submit your need to Samaritan and receive your shares. Most members report receiving shares within 30-60 days after submission.

Medical Travel Incentive Program

If you struggle to find a fit provider in your area, Samaritan Ministries offers a medical travel incentive program (MTIP) to assist you in finding care outside your immediate area.

And so, Samaritan members who travel over two hours to have surgery with Veritas will receive the following incentives:

  • Waived Initial Unshareable Amount

  • $1,000 Share Credit

  • $300/day per diem (approved pretravel days and procedure days) Share Credit to help with travel, lodging, meals, etc.

  • Waived Proration on the Need

What is required of the member?

After surgery has been completed, the patient will upload their final bill to the Dashboard — Samaritan’s online membership portal — and call the provider outreach team to ensure all credits will be applied accurately.
