Dr. Ray Jensen is one of the premier orthopedic surgeons in Boise, Idaho, and specializes in shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, hand & wrist, and regenerative medicine. Dr. Jensen is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and American Osteopathic Association of Orthopedics. He is a Board Certified and Fellowship-Trained Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in arthroscopic treatment and shoulder replacements, as well as hip and knee preservation and joint replacement procedures. Dr. Jensen also completed a fellowship in Orthopedic Sports Medicine at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.
Experience:
Dr. Jensen brings more than a decade of clinical experience spanning emergency medicine and orthopedic sports medicine. He began his career in emergency departments and urgent care settings across Missouri, serving at St. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital, Mineral Area Regional Medical Center, and Med Post Urgent Care from 2012–2016. This foundation in acute and trauma care shaped his decisive approach to diagnosis, surgical planning, and patient-centered treatment. Since 2016, Dr. Jensen has focused on orthopedic sports medicine, serving at Monument Health Orthopedic and Sports Medicine in Spearfish, SD through 2024, and most recently with Dakota Orthopedic. In 2025, he became a Premier Shoulder Specialist in Meridian, Idaho, where he specializes in advanced shoulder care, sports injuries, and complex reconstruction, with expanded focus on hip and knee conditions including labral pathology, arthritis, and joint replacement surgery. His practice emphasizes precision surgery, performance restoration, and helping patients return confidently to the activities they value most.
