So you're a cash-pay patient…
This means you're not covered by traditional insurance and you don’t have alternative forms of catastrophic coverage (like health shares or health co-ops).
What benefits do cash-pay patients see when using Veritas?
As a true cash-pay patient, you’ll be covering the entire cost of your surgery yourself. That means you not only care about receiving high-quality care but also high-value care—where both the outcome and the price matter.
Most other healthcare providers are not transparent with their pricing, making it hard to get a clear cost upfront. If you do manage to get a quote, it often includes a “cash-pay” price with an additional 10–25% discount if you pay within 30 days. While that may sound like a good deal, the reality is:
The original cash price is often still 2 to 5 times higher than the price for the same procedure through Veritas.
Another issue? Most providers only quote part of the total surgery cost—such as just the facility fee or just the physician fee. At best, you’re getting 1 or 2 pieces of the full bill.
Let's run through a real life example:
We had a patient—let’s call him John—who lived in Montana and needed a total hip replacement. Local hospital systems quoted him $70,000 to $100,000.
The same surgery at Veritas, performed by Dr. David Scott (the highest-rated hip surgeon in the Pacific Northwest), was $25,000 total. John knew the price upfront, was able to plan for it, and saved at least $45,000.
So, the simple answer is this:
You can save thousands to tens of thousands of dollars by choosing Veritas over traditional healthcare systems.
But what if I can’t pay the full amount upfront?
No problem. That’s very common.
We typically ask for:
50% upfront, and
50% within 10 days after surgery.
For patients who need more flexible terms, we partner with a few financing groups who can help. These options may slightly increase the total cost, but they allow you to move forward with the care you need.
